It is important to understand all of the different models of phones when performing iPhone repair. The iPhone is a very intricate device with many components tightly fit into a little aluminum frame. The iPhone is actually a very well put together device that utilizes all the space in the frame very well and accommodates a camera, speaker, vibrating mechanism, mother board among various flex cables and smaller components. What many people don’t know is that when a component is damaged, you can replace it. iPhone repair can be simple and fun if you know what you are doing, but repairing an iPhone can also be very difficult if you don’t know what you are doing and don’t know the proper steps.

For example; when performing iPhone repair on the screen on the front of the iPhone 4, you have to remove almost all the components in the phone to be able to remove the screen. The screen is attached to the motherboard by two flex cables and once removed the old screen can be taken off the frame and a new screen can be put on. In the process of repairing the iPhone some of the flex cables me accidentally be damaged but can easily be replaced if you have them on hand. This is completely different from the newer model iphone 5 and iPhone 6 screens that come off the front of the device, but think twice about removing them without knowing all of the potential dangers of damaging the device.

Also becoming familiar with the tools is very important as certain tools will make it easier to complete certain tasks such as removing a broken screen or putting on a new screen, as well as other general iPhone repairs.
